On the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti 2024, the Changing Waves Foundation organized a heartwarming outreach program dedicated to spreading joy, warmth, and awareness among underprivileged and specially-abled children and their families. The event was a resounding success, touching over 200 lives through acts of kindness, care, and community education.

Driven by our mission to bring tangible change to communities in need, this initiative focused on five major areas:

– Winter Relief: Distribution of 200+ warm clothes including jackets, sweaters, and blankets to help children and families brave the cold.

– Educational Support: Provision of stationery kits to school-going children, empowering them with the tools they need to pursue education with dignity and hope.

– Nutritional Assistance: Delivery of nutrient-rich food packets, including pulses, grains, fruits, and dry snacks tailored for children’s growth and energy needs.

– Awareness & Empowerment: We conducted interactive sessions on:
  • Child care and development
  • Malnutrition prevention
  • Importance of personal hygiene
  • Government gift and support schemes for children and specially-abled families

– Women Empowerment & Financial Literacy: Special sessions were held for women, focusing on:
  • The importance of saving money
  • Basics of financial planning for families
  • Government schemes and support available for women entrepreneurs
  • Motivation toward self-dependence and empowerment
